Phone Number:    720-913-6015
E mail Address:    jerry.baruch@denvergov.org
Present Occupation:    Crime Scene Investigator  Denver Police Dept.

Life and Family:       31 years in my present profession and I have been able to keep both my sense of humor
and wits about me. I have been able to travel the world in both a personal and professional context. I have had
more than my share of adventures and enough challenges to fill a lifetime. My personal life has been pretty much
a roller coaster but what an amazing trip it has been.

Next 10 Years:      Engaged to be married..again. The last 17 years I have been able to remain a moving target.
Looking forward to sharing my life once more as I near retirement. With some business opportunities ahead I
retire from one life to embrace another.

Favorite Memories:     I'd kill for a bag of White Castles. Just maim someone for a Steak and Shake burger.
Stickball..cruising.

Present Occupation:    Retired and Founder of The Central Pontine Myelinolysis Awareness Foundation, An
Acquired Neuromuscular Demyelinating Disorder
Life and Family:        Wonderful thirty two year career as a Exectutive in the Furniture Industry came to an end in
2002 as I acquired an iatrogenic neurological disorder when I took a year hiatus and came back to St. Louis to
have Gastric Bypass Surgery.  To put it mildly, it's not a walk in the park to everyone.  My disorder, "Central
Pontine Myelinolysis," is known to be fatal within thirty days of diagnosis.  Feb. 2009 will be ten years as even
Johns Hopkins Medical Institute can figure it out.  I turned in my furniture life and became a " CPM Survivor
Layman Advocate and Recent Founder of the Central Pontine Myelinolsis Awareness Foundation."  In 2005 I met
with the Senior Health Staff and a few physicians at Majority Senator William "Bill" Frist, MD as I believe it may of
been in reason to the "Terri Schiavo incident in March 2005. CPM is said to be a Rare Neurologic Disorder and
I've been told in the six years I've researched it and assisted many victims w/ families.  I'm very blessed to be alive
still along with many faculties not normally available.  It's truly a lovely position to be in at times.

Next 10 Years:      After leaving St. Louis in 1976, I returned to retire in 2006 as my Mother is back to wanting to
reorganize everything she gets her hands on.  My future plans are very in tact.  I will continue building my
Foundation, stay on top of my own health, try to follow the schedule of a butterfly and live out the remainder of life
in a happy mode along with Franky, my Boston Terrier neuro service companion, the best thing that's happen to
me since 1968 when our dear "Leaping Lloyd Brewen," saved me from being expelled over an accidental physical
issue with a UC teacher as I became a counter puncher.

Favorite Memories:     The ultimate favorite is still the fact of being raised and living North of Olive St. Road,
remembering who I am and where I came from.  Growing up in U. City was worth a College Degree of "Common
Sense."  I'm proud to say no matter where life took me over the past Forty Year's I've always had great friends
from U. City the entire time.

Life and Family:       We moved from the harsh winters of New England to live in the arid desert of Arizona. I
fulfilled one of my life’s dreams of running for public office. I lost the race, but it was never about winning for me it
was always about playing the game. I will be celebrating my 14th wedding anniversary with my wife, Maria. We
have two great children Sara (12) and Jordan (10). So, I have returned back to school, that elementary and junior
high school. It’s a second chance to learn how to spell and Algebra. WE can't make it to this year's reunion, but
my heart will be with the class and to my many good friends from the past. Love you all.

Next 10 Years:      I would like to win the National Championship for girl’s fast pitch softball with my daughter,
Sara, and be name Coach of the Year. I plan to run for the House of Representatives from Arizona’s District 20,
go to Washington and make a difference in the way government works for all people.

Favorite Memories:     Friday night caulk talks with the football team, sitting on the bench during baseball
games and eating sunflower seeds with Gene and the boys, ceramic classes with David Suits and hanging out at
