E mail Address:  ruthelevinson@aol.com
Present Occupation: substitute teacher in the Orinda Union School District
Life and Family:  My three children graduated from high school in Orinda, went on to college and are now
gainfully employed. My husband and I have done some travelling both in the US (both our daughters currently live
in the Philadelphia area) and abroad (most recently Germany and New Zealand). I currently teach in grades K-8
in Orinda, something I should have started many years ago. We enjoy visiting our UCity friends. Also, we love
living in California!

Next 10 Years: In the next ten years, I would love to stay healthy enough to continue to travel. I also would love
to see my children happily married and hopefully, make me a grandmother.

Favorite Memories: My favorite memories of University City are the great friends that I made there, many of
whom I am still in contact with forty years later.

Alan Handler
Spouse:  Diane Handler
Phone Number:   636-798-3100
E mail Address:    drhandler@ahandler.com
Present Occupation:     Dentist
Life and Family:       Enduring 2 teenage boys growing up and learning about life was very challenging.  But the
reward is priceless.  Joel (26) works for Energizer, travels around the world, loves his life.  Michael (24)  is an
electrician and recently is engaged.  Lisa (31) is my princess.  She married Todd last September, pregnant in
October, and expecting baby Jacob Alex any day.  Business is booming and I have no intentions of retiring any
time soon.

Next 10 Years:       I love practicing dentistry and hope to continue as long as my health is good.  Very
challenging and rewarding.  Eventually I'll bring in an associate and cut back, because I would like to travel more.
The thought of getting called "Grandpa" used to scare me, but I'm getting used to it.  Grandchildren are truly a
blessing.

Favorite Memories:        So many of my patients who are in high school can't wait to get out.  I cannot
understand why.  My years at U. City were some of my most memorable.  Playing basketball.  (We may have been
short, but at least we were slow!)  The sock hop, with Bob Kuban and the In-men.  (That may have been at
Hanley) The hundreds of female groupies.  (OK, I'm a dreamer) Anyway, can't wait to see everyone!!
