Jerome Morgenstern
Phone Number:    415.346.2963
E mail address:   jmsfca@gmail.com
Present Occupation:     President JM Enterprises
Life and Family:     In June of 1992 I retired and formed JM Enterprises.  It happened so fast.  I was sipping
coffee at Peet's when suddenly I realized, if Coca-Cola could set out "to teach the whole world to sing in
harmony," then, I could set out to spread SONshine to the whole world.  And that is what I have been doing.  Each
day spreading SONshine to everyone I meet.  A ray of hope.  An encouraging word.  An understanding smile.

Next 10 Years:   During the next ten years I would like to see my dream come to completion.  I would like to see
us living in a world where others come before ourselves, where honesty and truth prevail, and where everyone
comes to know the everlasting love of God.  I realize I may die before I can see my dream come to be fulfilled, but,
perhaps someone reading my words will be moved to action.  It's a big world out there and a lot of people.  I can
use your help in spreading the SONshine.

Favorite Memories:   The close friendships that started back then and have continued to grow over these
years.

Spouse:    Linda Mendelsohn
Phone Number:    570-340-1452
E mail address:   RabbiJoeMendelsohn@verizon.net
Present Occupation:   Rabbi - Temple Israel in Scranton, PA
Life and Family:    I never thought I'd become a rabbi, but here I am. (I was the last to realize that this is the right
vocation for me.) It's a great life - I just can't get away on weekends like I want to Sept. 12-13.

Next 10 Years:    I'm waiting to be a grandfather in March / April. I've already managed to become a father-in-law
twice and I'm very happy they're doing it in the right order - falling in love, getting married and then having babies.
The picture was taken in a restaurant in Mexico - the walls are NOT the color of our house (O.K., Linda?).

Favorite Memories:    Blowing the trumpet in the stands during football games, the debate team and hanging
out with friends
Linda Meyer Russ

Spouse: Len Russ
Phone Number: 203-227-2750
E mail address:  Lindmeyer@aol.com
Present Occupation: Director of Public Relations for a local private school
Life and Family:  The past ten years have been interesting, busy and happy ones, with far more ups than
downs.  Having satisfied my professional goals with a longtime job as a writer/producer on ABC-TV’s “Good
Morning America,” and having written a book for my parents to show off to the cable repairman, I was more than
ready to leave New York City behind and settle into life with my husband, children, dog and cat in a beautiful
home in Westport, Connecticut, a charming town on the scenic beaches of Long Island Sound, about an hour
from NYC.  Our daughter Dana is now 18 and a happy freshman majoring in international affairs at George
Washington University in Washington, D.C.  Our son Douglas is 13.  The job I have now as director of public
relations for the private school our son attends is perfect--part-time and close to home.  My husband Len’s work
in the long term care field includes managing the nursing homes he owns and serving on the board of governors
of the American Health Care Association, which takes him often to Washington for lobbying and around the
country for meetings and speaking on behalf of the long term care industry.  We are actively involved in
community issues, local and national political campaigns, and charitable causes, all of which have brought us
many interesting friends and experiences.  Travel to Israel and involvement in the Jewish community are important
aspects of our lives.  Two years ago, my sister JoAnn (U. City class of 1970, who lives with her family in nearby
Mamaroneck, NY) and I moved our parents from St. Louis to an assisted living apartment in Connecticut, where
we can better supervise their medical care and, most important, enjoy much more time together.  Among my most
rewarding experiences in recent years has been volunteer work at an urban community center in a nearby city,
helping poverty-line teenagers from a public housing project with their college applications and scholarship
applications.

Next 10 Years:   Good health and physical fitness are priorities for the next ten years.  I also hope to play more
golf, read more books, see more plays, get season tickets to the New York Yankees games, and travel
extensively.  Most of all, I look forward to guiding our children on the road to happy and fulfilling adult lives.

Favorite Memories:    So many great memories.…Driver’s Ed in simulation machines (remember those?!)
…kidnap breakfasts…TomTom meetings at Max Balcom’s house…endless memorization for Mademoiselle Doyle’
s frequent French tests…being a GAA “Little Sister” and then a “Big Sister”…guidance counselors who only let
you apply to three colleges…riding in crepe paper-draped convertibles at homecoming…hallway pay
phones…campaigning for friends running for student government…typing class…being a Camp White Cloud
counselor…girlfriends to last a lifetime.
